Barcelona has been my home town for over 8 months now and it for sure is one of my favorite places in Europe!
In the last months I have been able to discover a lot of this magnificent city, even though Corona did not always allow us to do so. I wanted to create content for my Instagram and in this article I will share with you my favorite spots to take pretty pictures.
What to expect in this article:
Ohla rooftop terrace
The pictures I have taken here, are some of my favorites of Barcelona! The view from this terrace is magnificent. You can chill here, have a good drink, and even take a dip in the pool while enjoying the view over Barcelona
I have written another article about this terrace, which you can find here.
Address:
Via Laietana, 49
08003 Barcelona
Bunker del Carmel
If you want to take some shots of the stunning views of Barcelona, this is the place to go. It´s a good place to hang out, have a drink, and enjoy the sight over Barcelona. You can not go wrong with this place!
Address:
Carrer de Marià Labèrnia,s/n,
08032 Barcelona
Playa de la Barceloneta
My favorite Instagram spots, means that one of the beaches of course has to be on this list. You can take such good pictures here. Whether it is with the W hotel (the funny shaped hotel in the photo) or in the water. Besides that, you have to chill on the beach. To be completely honest, I feel that this beach is overcrowded and there are too many sellers here. It is nice to chill, but it is definitely not like the beach in Sitges for example.
Anyway, for pictures, you can´t skip this spot.
Ayre Hotel rooftop terrace
This is another amazing rooftop terrace with a spectacular view. You will have such a unique view over the Sagrada Família, it is insane!
The drinks are good here and the vibe as well.
For more information about this terrace, you can also click on this link, as I have written about this before.

Tibidabo
Wherever you go in Barcelona, you will always see Tibidabo, the mighty church on top of the hill, looking over its city. So you can imagine, how beautiful the sight of Barcelona is from this place.
Address:
Ctra. de Vallvidrera al Tibidabo, 111

Sagrada Família
When you think of Barcelona, what is the first thing you think about? Can I guess that it is probably the Sagrada Família? That incredible building where they have been working on for over many years. It seems they are almost done, as I only see one crane every time I visit this spot, instead of the 5 cranes, when I visited it in 2019. We will see… It is indefinitely a great place to take stunning pictures.
Port Vell
Port Vell is technically part of the ocean as well, but this precise spot is so photogenic. Every time I come here, I have to take a photo.
There’s a huge shopping mall (Maremagnum) right next to it and the view over the Double W hotel is lovely.
The picture of us below is taken the first time we visited Barcelona, not knowing we would come back to live there <3
Montjuïc
Montjuïc is a scenic wooded hill, 173m above sea level and close to both Plaça Espanya and the Port (Vell).
I have been here a couple of times, also during New Years Eve, but still have not discovered this complete site, as it is that big.
The scene from here is astonishing and you can go wrong with your pictures!

Cathedral of Barcelona
Around the cathedral of Barcelona, there are many spots you can take good pictures. Whether it is in front of the cathedral, Placa Reial (a beautiful square, which is closer to la Rambla), or Carrer Del Bisbe. This is a very famous street with a bridge and a few minutes from the Cathedral.
Address:
Catedral de la Santa Creu i Santa Eulàlia
Pla de la Seu, s/n,
08002 Barcelona
Palau de la Musica
Then the last place on my list is Palau de la Musica. This is an architectural jewel and the only concert venue that is on the list of the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Both the in-and outside of this building are gorgeous.
Address:
C/ Palau de la Música, 4-6
08003 Barcelona
Extra
I had to look for more inspiration on the internet and these are some photos I wish I would have taken. I hope I can still do that and I hope you get as inspired as I.
Fun story: I actually met my Instagram queen @Whereis_adrii in May 2021. It was so fun to meet her and she is super kind. Unfortunately, those were my last days in Barcelona before I moved back home. I would have loved to meet her more often. So please give her some love on Instagram! 🙂
